The 1996 NBA season was truly one for the history books. The Nike Air Uptempo Shoes is the definitive mid-90’s basketball shoe. The high-cut profile, the aggressive outsole (darn near a work-boot compared to sexy and sleek lines seen in the Zoom Hyperdunk 2011), and the heel-cushioned Max Air piece are all trademarks of that era, and this simple colorway of Black, White, and Dark Shadow exemplifies the simpler nature of color-blocking of the past (no tonal Mint Green or Solar Red here).
